IsatPhone Pro and IsatPhone 2 Firmware Updates

This week Inmarsat has released firmware updates for the Ready Robust and Reliable IsatPhone 2, and the original IsatPhone Pro, which among other benefits, will enable added support for the new MEAS region and improve reported GPS location accuracy on both handsets. 

IsatPhone Pro - Firmware 5.17.2

This new firmware upgrade is a recommended upgrade for users of 5.3.0 or higher, however for users yet to upgrade to version 5.3.0 or higher, this upgrade to 5.17.2 is considered 'mandatory' to avoid the phone becoming non-operational.

IsatPhone 2 - Firmware 02.00.01 

This new mandatory firmware upgrade for the IsatPhone 2 is critical for the functionality of the GSPS service, including the GSPS network and the IsatPhone 2 handset.
