Megger MPP1002 Cable Fault Pinpoint Locator

Pinpoints faults in shielded and direct buried primary cables via Geophone probe(s). Can be used with any surge generator (thumper). Stand-alone unit measures electromagnetic surge and supplies the amplitude of that surge which aids in finding the fault. When fitted with probes the unit will detect the acoustic discharge (thump), measure the time delay between acoustic and electromagnetic signals and calculate the distance to fault. Using the dual probe system the direction to fault is indicated. Detects faults up to 23m away. Battery powered.
